She is a member in the American Psychological Association, The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, Texas Psychological Association, Dallas Psychological Association, Christian Counsellors Association, and numerous other professional organizations and associations.

	Dr. Gifford's approach to therapy is results-orients. Her style is targeted to alleviate identified problematic symptoms as quickly as possible through skills learning. She uses cognitive behavioral, behavior management, and other ecelctic approaches as suited to the problem and the client. Dr. Gifford and client, and family where appropriate, work together as a team to achieve the results desired. She recognizes that most people may feel apprehensive when they begin counseling and she seeks to create and opportunity for the client feel comfortable and safe while facilitating change.

She has received the following degrees: BS - SMU Dr. Gifford received her undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and in Psychology. MS - SMU Dr. Gifford continued her education at SMU where she subsequently received a Masters degree in Experimental Psychology. Ph.D.- UNT Dr. Gifford received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas. FICPP- PPR Dr. Gifford received her Fellowhsip in the International College of Prescribing Psychologists in 2000.
